Commercial Auto Insurance

Direct Locations Near You

A commercial auto insurance policy is an important part of protecting the business you and your employees have worked so hard to build. This kind of insurance helps safeguard your business from financial loss when one of your company's vans, cars, or trucks is part of an auto accident. Depending on the type of business you own or manage, Tennessee may require that you purchase a commercial policy.

Commercial auto insurance isn't right for everyone, but you could be eligible for this type of policy if you use your truck or car to do activities related to your business or job. A commercial policy could be right for you if: you use your vehicle to transport goods or people for a fee; you haul or (tow a trailer hauling) tools or equipment related to your business; you have employees that drive company-owned vehicles; or your vehicle is titled in the name of your business.

At Direct Auto Insurance, we're committed to meeting the needs of your small business. While other companies claim that their one-size-fits-all policies will work for you, we don't. What You Need to Know About Tennessee's New Insurance Laws

As of July 1, 2015, driving uninsured in Tennessee became costlier, with the fine for driving without the proper insurance increasing from $100 to $300. After January 1, 2016, law enforcement agents can have you car immediately towed away if proof of valid insurance is not produced. Leading up to January 1, 2017, the state of TN will work on getting a new insurance verification program, available online. The system is designed to track down drivers who do not have valid insurance by reviewing digital vehicle registration records. Vehicles identified as having uninsured owners will not be eligible for registration renewal.
