Commercial Auto Insurance

Direct Locations Near You

Commercial auto insurance is one of the best ways you can help protect the business you've worked so hard to build. This kind of insurance helps safeguard your business from financial loss when one of your company's vans, cars, or trucks is part of an auto accident. You may be required to purchase a commercial auto insurance policy, but it depends on two things: the laws in Tennessee and the type of business you manage or own.

A commercial auto policy isn't meant for everyone, but you could be eligible for one if you use your truck or car to conduct activities related to your job. A commercial policy could be right for you if: you use your vehicle to transport goods or people for a fee; you haul or (tow a trailer hauling) tools or equipment related to your business; you have employees that drive company-owned vehicles; or your vehicle is titled in the name of your business.

At Direct Auto, you'll feel comfortable knowing that we're committed to meeting the needs of your business, however small it may be. Some companies claim to offer the cheapest commercial policies, but we don't have to. Our affordable commercial vehicle policies can be personalized to match the demands of your business, and your budget. With coverages ranging from Fire and Theft CAC, Bodily and Property Damage Liability, Uninsured Motorist, Medical Payments, and more, you'll find the cost-friendly coverage options you want when you visit your local Direct Auto.

What You Need to Know About Tennessee's New Insurance Laws

As of July 1, 2015, Tennessee drivers caught driving without the proper insurance face an increased fine of $300, originally $100. After January 1, 2016, police officers can take legal action to have your auto immediately towed if you cannot produce proof of valid insurance. From now until January 1, 2017, Tennessee will be working on implementing an online program to verify drivers’ insurance. The system has the ability to identify uninsured drivers by accessing vehicle registration records. Vehicle owners without insurance will not be able to renew their vehicle's registration.
